Happy Valentine’s Day

What is a more universal symbol for love than a cute little heart with an arrow through it? That was my thought back in high school, when I sat down with a sheet of paper, a pencil, and a box of pastels…

Cupid’s Black Arrow
I left it at the drawing, though I had seriously considered buying a pig’s heart and an arrow, and making a three-dimensional version to leave on the doorstep of a certain girl. Instead, I airbrushed the picture onto a shirt. The original is stored away somewhere in the dark recesses of my closet.
And with that said, it’s time to find a new avatar, and leave this high school angst behind.

  1. At least your high school angst was artistic. My high school angst was totally useless.

Hey, I didn’t know you were a Dark Tower fan. I have a quick question. I stopped with Wizard and Glass because I didn’t like it as much as the previous books and then I couldn’t find the other books in the series. I finally found Song of Susannah (#6) and I’m having trouble getting into it. Will it get better? Should I keep trying?

Ok, sorry, that was 2 questions.

    Happy Valentine’s Day, Cyrano 😉

  2. len – I don’t draw, really. I put up all my art stuff in college, and probably couldn’t come close to this level of detail now.

cap – It slowed down in the middle and started to pick up again with Song. Wolves is where it REALLY starts moving, though, and is my favorite book of the series.

  3. It’s the label from Red Wolf, a beer long-vanished from the stores. But I’m a big lover of wolves and bears, so I stole it.
